<p>Spending on home renovation for the 12 months ending Sept. 30 will fall 25 percent to $107.7 billion compared with the same period in 2007, according to Harvard University. The pullback is hurting companies large and small — from Home Depot and Lowe’s to building contractors and interior design shops.
