Pateros awarded nearly $500,000 for upgrades
< p>OLYMPIA The Pateros School District will have an extra $490,389 to upgrade lighting and replace its heating and air conditioning system. The state gave $14.5 million to 22 school districts for construction and energy-efficiency upgrades, the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction announced Wednesday. Pateros was the only local district on the list.
